Moshe, this is off the topic but I've been meaning to mention that everytime I see your post I have a warm feeling for Jack Benny as a kid growing up in the 1950's we watched his show all the time He had the best sense of humor always 39 and the expressions on his face always made me laugh.

Unbelievers in the pulpit are exposed
by moshe ini just read a short story about clergy who keep preaching even though they have become unbelievers- it's called play acting for dollars.. http://www.tmatt.net/2010/05/10/voices-of-unbelievers-in-pulpits/.
"on sunday mornings, you will find him leading hymns in one of the independent church of christ congregations somewhere in south carolina.. call him "adam.
" he is a church administrator, a "worship minister" and a self-proclaimed "atheist agnostic.

Is It Wrong To Pretend??
by chron82 inat the current time, my wife and i are just trying to fade away in order to keep family ties on my side.
last night my wife said that she feels bad about being affiliated with the witnesses at all.
i too feel bad about it.... i don't want to be responsible for misleading people.. i told her that in order to keep communication between myself and my family open, i can justify going to meetings.

this is a very tricky subject is it wrong to mislead others about religous ideas? If you know something is a lie is it wrong to go to a door and act like its the truth? to raise your hand at the meeting an lie? so as not to hurt your family if they found out would they sacrifice you for the sake of the org? History is full of people giving consent by not speaking out and because of that an evil flourishes. living with a clear conscience often requires sacrifice and you hurt yourself emotionally physically when you ignore its call. you have a big decision and its not easy its tough for all of us.

JW PEDOPHILE SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS
by Mary inanother sick jw is finally brought to justice (no thanks to god's chosen ones) after raping and molesting children for four frigging decades.
as per the article below, obviously one of his victims told the elders that they had been molested and obviously the elders did nothing about it.
'sorry, but did you have another eye witness to brother cockerill raping you?

I just read about a huge rally to support the pope over the pedophile issue someone was interviewed about why they were there and their comment was as insane as any jw comment they said "where here to show solidarity with the pope & transmit this message that single individuals make mistakes but institutions faith and religion cannot be questioned" it seems like theres this huge percentage of humanity whose brains aren't working properly they are not making the right connections. I don't know how to understand it.

WT March 15, 2010 - Page 27
by St George of England inthis article to be studied in two weeks time, in paragraph 13, footnote says: "jesus is the mediator of that covenant, not a participant.
as the mediator, he evidently did not partake of the emblems.".
(note use of evidently again!).

We share a unique experience its as if we all grew up or moved and lived for a while in a strange land with rules and customs different from all others and we've all moved out of it but it was a powerful experience that altered us. Most people have no idea the impact this has had and why we feel the way we do. so we have this bond and we understand each other the pain disillustionment emptyness and also the good new outlook we can acquire after our departure so we help each other and this can be our special place to be understood.

It means I don't care when they shake their magic wand at me and condemn me to death for disagreeing with them they can shake rattle and roll all they want and I'm going on with my life and chalking it up as a mistake it wasn't my first and it won't be my last and I have learned my lesson and am going to be more careful in the future as I search for truth and real answers. I've learned something about how to think.

New method of distributing magazines
by jah1914 indon't know if someone already commented on this.
i did a search and did not find anything.
not that big of a deal, but the concept of having a personal order of the magazines is going away effective immediately.

It strikes me that this could easily turn into an out of control situation and be a real big mistake. We can only hope it backfires on them.
